This Saturday is the Southeast Power Soccer Tournament, hosted by the Brooks Barracudas. The event will bring together teams from?across?the country for a fun, competitive tournament and will be streamed live via?www.ihigh.com.
The event will take place Saturday, February 11, from 9AM to 4PM at Jacksonville Ice & Sportsplex.
The ILRC?s own Sean Short ?is gearing up for the game, stating, ??We?re really excited. It?s a great sport. You really get caught up in the excitement.?

Teams formulate all over the country and compete in large tournaments like the one held this Saturday. Teams from Georgia, Tampa and more will be competing at this Saturday?s tournament. Any person with an electric wheelchair, and can maneuvering?it?safely, qualifies to join the Adaptive Sports Soccer League. Schedule of events
?Our program enables those living with a physical disability to enhance their quality of life through participation in sports and recreational activities. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate; no experience is necessary. Equipment and expert instruction are provided at no cost to the individual.
Weekly activities include tennis, quad rugby, indoor and outdoor rowing, handcycling, power soccer, archery, billiards and bowling. Special events include surfing, waterskiing, horseback riding and more. The Program also sponsors educational events with topics specific to disability issues, yearly training clinics with experts in each of our sports, and competitions in which local athletes compete alongside those holding National and World Champion titles and Paralympic status.? via Brooks Adaptive Sports.
